Alex Othon has been conducting baseball camps and private instruction for the last 26 years in both Broward and Dade counties and now a new location, Marco Island, Florida. Just Added Gulf Coast Little League at Cindy Mysels park in Naples FL, but Pembroke Pines has been his home base since 1999. Alex attended Christopher Columbus High School in Miami and continued his career at Nova Southeastern University. At Nova, Alex was named Team Captain his Junior and Senior year and was named Most Improved Player at Nova in 1995. Alex was part of the 1994 squad that holds the record for most wins in a regular season with 43 victories. Alex is also 2nd All-Time in Games played at Nova (1992-1995) with 196 games played. His Senior year he posted .350 batting average and helped Nova advanced to the NAIA Regional tournament in Alabama.
Alex has always taught the game of baseball the right way with basic fundamentals that all young players need to learn to advance to the next level. Coach Alex’s teaching methods and positive feedback have helped many current High School baseball players and Collegiate players with a solid foundation on the basic fundamentals. It has been his goal since he opened up his first camp to set a good foundation so that players can continue that dream to play the game of baseball.
